The National Telecommunications and Infonnation Administration (NTIA) has
had ongoing staff-to-staffdiscussions with the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) regarding the petition for rulemaking to establish a new Medical Micropower
Network (MMN) Service in the band 413-457 MHz.! As you are aware the 413-450
MHz band is used by federal agencies for land mobile radio and radar operations.
